THE CD
"Locally one of the most talked about acts on the scene… their music escapes fixed labels and makes them appealing to listeners from across the spectrum." Robert Jackson of RipStar
Midnight in Perfect World takes the song structures of post-hardcore and drop the repetitive syncopation of overused chords for the warmth of octave-laden hooks. They create a classic sound
while bearing witness to Fugazi, Rival Schools and Live while holding their own to contemporaries like Thursday, Thrice and Taking Back Sunday.
Remaining emotive (without falling down on emo
knees) Midnight... explores the human condition through a simple note passed in class that makes the receiver smile knowing a secret she didn't know before.
"Go On" is on the Bands that Rock Coast
2 Coast compilation set for release soon.
THE ARTIST
Singer/songwriter Sean Cass and Phil Pristia met while working on a music project at Chico State University. They soon enlisted Dennis
Rodriguez on drums and upon graduation made their way to San Francisco to find bassist Fran Dickinson through a craigslist ad.
They hooked up with Jerry Becker (who produced Rob Hotchkiss of
Train) to record and produce their self-titled LP. Using a strong collaborative effort, every new song over the last year has grown out of an idea being taken somewhere different by another band
member. Each person had the chance to morph it into the final version.
Straying from the hyped PR of drug abuse and band implosions, Midnight... kick out the jams by remaining everyday people
committed to each song. Their drive to push themselves and each other is clearly seen by each audience who craves to hear more.
